Helminthologia

Aims and Scope

Being continuously published from 1959, Helminthologia is the only journal in Central Europethat encompasses the individual and collaborative efforts of scientists in veterinary medicine and natural science. While still maintaining its original spirit, being a source of fresh knowledge, using comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach and addressing the most up-to date issues it  has managed to earn its rightful place next to other high-quality scientific serials in its field.

Editool

Manuscripts should be submitted to Helminthologia via the online submission system Editool available for this journal at www.helminth.editool.com. Authors should register themselves first as new users and then upload their manuscripts. In case of any technical problems, please contact the Managing Editor of Helminthologia, Zuzana Vasilková at helminth@saske.sk.

Transfer of Copyright Agreement

Submission of a manuscript indicates a tacit understanding that the paper is not actively under consideration for publication with other journals. Once the paper is accepted, authors are assumed to have transferred the copyright of the paper to the Parasitological Institute, Slovak Academy of Sciences.

After submission authors are asked to send as soon as possible the Transfer of Copyright Agreement by regular mail to the following address: Helminthologia Editorial Office, Hlinkova 3, 040 01 Kosice, Slovakia.

Your contribution

We greatly appreciate the time and effort given by reviewers in evaluating papers for publication in our journal. Thanks to your contribution, Helminthologia authors receive fast, fair and comprehensive review.

Our standards

  • our reviewers are kindly requested to deliver reports in 3-4 weeks
  • communications are published in 2 months from receipt, research and review papers in 3-4 months, unless they have needed major revision by authors
  • research articles and communications are reviewed by a minimum of two reviewers, review papers by at least three
  • we pay special attention to receive unbiased, fair opinions; special policies govern allocation of reviewers to articles
  • whenever submissions qualifies for publication but needs revision, reviewers are asked to give comprehensive opinion on necessary improvements
