Fields of interest:
I'm currently interested in designing animats -- i.e., simulated animals or real robots -- that are able to adapt to changing environments through biomimetic processes of learning, development and evolution. My main concern is the study of how these basic adaptive processes interact in nature and how they may be put at work in artificial systems. In paricular, I’m heading the Psikharpax project, which aims at designing an artificial rat. Recent publications:
