The journal presents the new knowledge, experiences and information from forestry research and science and related fields from the Slovak and Czech Republic, the Central and other regions of Europe.
It publishes the useful information for forestry practice. Contacts of the Slovak scientific community in the field of forestry are available.

Forestry journal has a 55-year tradition in the Slovak Republic. It has been issued since 1954 under the auspices of the Slovak Academy of Sciences as a journal for forestry science and research in the former Czechoslovakia. Since 1969 and currently it is issued by the Forest Research Institute Zvolen in the Slovak Republic, which became a part of the National Forest Centre in 2006.

The contributors of papers are scientists from forestry and related scientific fields from scientific and research institutions, universities in Slovakia, Czech Republic and other countries in Europe.

Lesnícky časopis – Forestry Journal is peer-reviewed scientific journal on forestry and game management topics published by the National Forest Centre in Zvolen, Slovak Republic.
It publishes the newest results of forestry science, research and related fields based on the knowledge gathered by scientists during the 110 years of existence of forestry research institution in Slovakia.
Forestry science and research has a long tradition in the territory of Slovakia. It dates back to the establishment of forestry university education in 1807 and forestry research institution in the city of Banská Štiavnica in 1898.

A professional scientific journal on forestry and game management topics. Journal is published 4-time a year. Containing original papers of basic and applied research from all fields of forestry and game management, papers, reports and reviews of home and foreign authors.
