Fields of interest:

Dr. Krumholzs research has focused on determining optimal clinical strategies and identifying opportunities for improvement in the prevention, treatment and outcome of cardiovascular disease with emphasis on older populations. Using methods of clinical epidemiology and health services research, he has sought to illuminate the balance of risks, benefits and costs of specific clinical approaches. The research efforts are intended to provide critical information to improve the quality of health care, monitor changes over time, and guide decisions about the allocation of scarce health care resources.
