Editorial Policy

Scope

The Cultura. International Journal of Philosophy of Culture and Axiology is a international journal devoted to philosophy of culture and the study of value. It aims to promote the exploration of different values and cultural phenomena in regional and international contexts.

 

 

Manuscript submission

The Cultura. International Journal of Philosophy of Culture and Axiology encourages the submission of manuscripts based on original research that are judged to make a novel and important contribution to understanding the values in both regional and international context, pursuing the changes that occur at these levels in the contemporary world. Manuscripts that fall outside these editorial guidelines may be declined without full review.

Manuscripts should be submitted  to the  editorial staffof Cultura. International Journal of Philosophy of Culture and Axiology: journal.axiology@yahoo.com. The editorial staff may alter manuscripts wherever necessary to make them conform to the journal’s style. Although papers in German, French, Italian and Spanish are accepted, those written in English are prefferable. The language must be checked by a native speaker.

The author assumes all responsibility for the ideas expressed in the materialpublished. Submission of a manuscript implies: that the work described has not been published before; that it is not under consideration for publication anywhere else; that its publication has been approved by all co-authors, if any, as well as by the responsible authorities – tacitly or explicitly – at the institute where the work has been carried out. The publisher will not be held legally responsible should there be any claims for compensation.

 

 

Peer Review Process

All texts are reviewed by two experts. The double-blind peer review process is expected to take 2-3 months or more in some cases. The editors may ask for revision and may require reformatting of accepted manuscripts.

 

 

Page Proofs

Before a manuscript is published, the corresponding or primary author will be required to review and approve page proofs of the manuscript. (Authors will be contacted by e-mail when their proofs are available in PDF format for downloading and printing.) Authors are responsible for checking their proofs for accuracy and for clearly marking any corrections on the proofs. Please note that only major errors can be corrected at the page proof stage. The Cultura. International Journal of Philosophy of Culture and Axiologyteam assumes no responsibility for data or text errors printed in the Cultura. International Journal of Philosophy of Culture and Axiology if authors do not correct such errors on their proofs. Failure to return proofs promptly, as outlined in instructions provided with the proofs, may delay publication of the manuscript.

 

 

Transfer of Copyright Agreement

As a condition of publication, all authors must transfer copyright to the Cultura. International Journal of Philosophy of Culture and Axiology. Manuscripts submitted under multiple authorship are reviewed on the assumption that all listed authors concur in the submission and that the final version has been seen and approved by all authors.

A properly completed Transfer of Copyright Agreement must be provided for each submitted manuscript. A form is available here.
