The Central European Journal of Engineering aims to serve as a premier source on innovations and future directions of engineering. It is an online digital environment for rapid, global dissemination of emerging and interdisciplinary ideas among researchers and a platform for exploring the effectiveness of using richly visual interfaces.

As we move forward, we recognize that the revolutionary advances in communications, computing, energy, transportation, manufacturing and, healthcare, that we have witnessed in the last decade, resulted from the convergence of technologies, facilities, devices and disciplines. The trend of convergence is likely to accelerate, and new interdisciplinary fields will emerge from the merger of engineering with physical and life science disciplines.
