Baltic Journal of Health and Physical Activity is the first issue of a journal that has existed on the publishing market since 1994, namely Research Yearbook. Studies in Physical Education and Sport. The new journal continues the good scholarly tradition initiated and successfully developed by Research Yearbook bringing the scholarly output on an international arena. The journal publishes articles presenting the views of all scientific disciplines dealing with healthy life-style and physical activity of a human being. All articles are reviewed guaranteeing the highest scholarly level.

Baltic Journal of Health and Physical Activity, an official journal of the Gdansk University of Physical Education and Sport(in Polish – Akademia Wychowania Fizycznego i Sportu im. Jędrzeja Śniadeckiego w Gdańsku), is a peer-reviewed journal featuring original scientific articles based on original research as well as review and opinion articles. The subject matter of the articles published in BJHPA covers a wide spectrum of issues connected with physical culture, physical education, health sciences, human physiology, sports medicine, sports and recreation, theory of sport, public health. The Advisory Board includes specialists from many countries, representing various specialties, guaranteeing a high scholarly level of the published articles. BJHPA is published quarterly.
BJHPAis indexed in Index Copernicus and SPORTDiscus. The editors accept articles in English, with abstracts and key words. In exceptional cases, Authors may submit their texts in Polish; after a positive review and revisions introduced by Authors, Authors are obliged to submit the final version of the article in English.
