Bulletin of Geography. Socio-economic Seriesis a journal published since 2002. It was an annual journal until 2005 and it was changed for a semiannual journal in 2006 as a result of increasing interest of authors and readers.
In the Bulletin of Geography. Socio-economic Series there is a wide array of high quality articles published twice a year. It is not only the full extent base of the latest research results in human geography – theoretical and empirical ones, but as well the source of research inspirations and the platform of exchanging ideas between the scientists from many countries of the World.
The members of Advisory Council, distinguished excellent scientists come from 16 different countries and from 35 research centres (universities and branch scientific institutes).
The articles of both domestic and foreign authors are always up-to-date, never printed before in other scientific publications, fulfill the high scientific standards, and have very good educational values. All the best articles are published after double-blind peer review provided by two experts. The reviews are anonymous, neither author nor reviewer knows the other’s identity. The rejection rate of articles amounts to approximately 30%. All articles has a language assistance for authors from non-English speaking countries. The editors provide fast route of publication process and full access to Metapress e-technology.
The topics of papers published in the Bulletin of Geography. Socio-economic Series range from theoretical to empirical investigations into human geography, settlement geography, spatial organization and territorial planning, regional policy, medical geography, tourism and recreation, economic geography, geography of crime, trade geography, geography of services, political geography, electoral geography, human ecology, sociology, and economics dealing with issues of diverse spatial scales – local, regional, national, and international, especially for Central and East Europe and Russia study area.
