Stem Cells in Oral Medicine (StemCOM) is an open-access peer-reviewed journal publishing basic, translational, and clinical sciences involved in the development and therapeutic applications of stem cells in the oral and craniofacial complex. All aspects of biology and clinical interventions from all types of stem cells including embryonic stem cells, pluripotent stem cells, mesenchymal stem cells, oral and craniofacial stem cells, endothelial stem cells, osteoblastic stem cells, neuronal stem cells, and dental pulp stem cells will be welcomed in this journal. We also publish the scientific stem cell technologies including harvesting stem cells, stem cell characterization, and the development of stem cells for therapeutic use. We are particularly interested in work that describes characterization of stem cells through epigenetics, metabolomics, proteomics, and genomics. In addition, translational studies including therapeutic applications in cell transplantation, cell replacement, and regenerative medicine are also welcomed.
We prioritize our published manuscripts to those that describe oral and craniofacial sciences in stem cells, in particular (but not limited to)
-
Dental Pulp Stem Cells: Characterization and Clinical Applications;
-
Osteoblastic Mesenchymal Stem Cells: Characterization, Interaction with Biomaterials, and Regenerative Therapy;
-
Endothelial Stem Cells: Diseases, Characterization, and Clinical Interventions;
-
Neuronal Stem Cells: Disease, Characterization, and Clinical Interventions; and
-
Periodontal Stem Cells.
The main goal of Stem Cells in Oral Medicine is to be the first and the main publishing option for authors writing on basic, translational, and clinical sciences involving the development of stem cells for oral and craniofacial applications. Stem Cells in Oral Medicine is a hub integrating the relevant research community, in particular, experts in dental pulp stem cells, osteoblastic stem cells, endothelial stem cells, and neuronal stem cells.
